About us

Our cafe opened in December 2005 in Budapest, in the district “Krisztinaváros”, which is in the Buda side at the foot of the Castle, in a shop that used to be owned by the Rill watchmaker-dynasty.

We serve over 30 different coffee drinks made of premium handpicked and carefully selected Arabica coffees coming from the world’s great coffee growing areas, such as Ethiopia, Uganda, Java, Sumatra, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, India etc.

As we roast and blend our coffees ourselves locally, our coffee drinks are always fresh and tasty and also available for take-away for you to enjoy the flavour at your home, too.

Besides coffees you may choose from hot chocolates, leaf teas, cakes, sandwiches and seasonal offers. Our cakes and sandwiches stand for quality, too: handmade with no “food industry shortcuts” added, only consisting of fresh ingredients.

When creating the interior of our cafe we had some important goals, that is to say recalling peace-times atmosphere from a century before and keeping traditions alive: thus we set up a memorial wall for the Rill watch-maker dynasty whom used to operate in our shop for over a century, we decorated with antique enamel plates, paper posters, cocoa and coffee boxes and grinders to preserve a bit of history.

We welcome all who come in to enjoy some time in our cafe, may it be only a few minutes pop-by with your dog, to read the daily news, to meet friends or family, or even a business meeting.
